Despite having a few bus bays in the city, the passenger vehicles continue to violate rules as they hardly pick up and drop the passengers from these designated points. These bus bays have been encroached upon by vendors. The authorities should not take the issue lightly. Hope someone in the administration clears these bus bays and ask transporters to use them. —Ahsan Ahmed, batamaloo

Clear snow from roadsides

It has been many days that the Valley received heavy snow. While it was good that the authorities cleared the snow from the roads in the initial days, it is surprising that snow is still lying on the roadsides. It is important that the authorities clear roads from end to end so as to make roads safe for driving. Otherwise in these chilling days, water on the roads freeze and result in slippery conditions that lead to accidents and traffic jams. The administration should deploy men and machinery to clear snow from roadsides. —Tariq Ahmed, shalteng
