CAA: Sans clarity, local leaders look up to Centre

Even as the party high command has directed the local leaders to educate people about CAA, most of the BJP leaders from the Union Territory (UT) of J&K are themselves not aware of this contentious Act, it seems. Instead of launching a campaign, local BJP leaders are looking towards the high command to depute some Central leaders to educate people about the Act. The high command had given directions to the local leaders to educate and hold public rallies nearly a week ago, but the party failed to do so, as the local leaders themselves lack “knowledge”.

‘No school bag day’ hailed

The initiative taken by the school managements to introduce “No School Bag Day” has been welcomed by parents. Every school has fixed a different day for this activity. They believe it will relieve children of Classes I to VIII from carrying heavy school bags. Moreover they felt great after seeing their kids returning home refreshed. It seems the school managements have realised that children, too, are heavily burdened.

Bone-chilling weather and morning walks

Morning walkers are finding it difficult to rise in the morning and move out of their homes these days. The foggy morning conditions further add to their woes. People with asthmatic problems are the most affected. Those who make an effort also face difficulty in breathing. Meanwhile, they have a reason to cheer, as the MeT office has predicted dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir for the next five days. However, there are chances that the minimum temperature will drop.
