Jammu, July 21
Nine coronavirus deaths, all in the Valley, were reported during the past 24 hours in Jammu and Kashmir, taking the toll to 263 in the Union Territory.
A total of 608 new cases were reported from J&K and 181 patients recovered and were discharged across the UT.

As per the official bulletin issued on Tuesday evening, 608 new cases were reported, 106 from the Jammu division and 502 from the Kashmir division.
Out of the 15,258 positive cases, 6,540 were active positive, 8,455 recoveries and 263 deaths, 20 in the Jammu division and 243 in Kashmir.
The official bulletin further said that out of the 52,8946 test results available, 51,3688 samples had tested negative till July 21. Of the total 15,258 positive cases in J&K, 3,536 were reported as travellers, while 11,722 were others. The highest-ever 213 positive cases were reported from Srinagar district, followed by 83 in Budgam. In the Jammu province, the border district of Rajouri recorded the highest 37 positive cases on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, resrictins ere imposed in new areas of Rajouri after a surge in the coronavirus cases.
“JK Grameen Bank Sial Sui sealed. One employee of the bank reported positive yesterday. Rest procedure as per the standard operating procedures (SOPs) shall be fallowed,’ Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Thakur Sher Singh, tweeted. He mentioned that most of the positive cases were reported from the red zones.
