Centre draws inspiration from Lord Rama: BJP
Srinagar, January 20
The Central Government is inspired by Lord Rama’s principles of governance, the Jammu and Kashmir chapter of the BJP said in its official statement. “Lord Rama has taught us to honour our commitments and the Centre is fulfilling all goals that the PM has set for the welfare of the poor and their empowerment,” the party said.
Vibodh Gupta, general secretary, J&K BJP, while addressing a meeting of the party leaders and workers said, “The Centre is inspired by Lord Rama’s principles of governance.
Various development initiatives of the Union Government after the abrogation of Article 370 are on full speed. The ‘Booth Jan Samvad Abhiyan’ campaign is to bridge the gap between citizens and party leaders and has created a platform for open dialogue on various issues that matter most to the people.”
“So far 2,800 meetings have been organised in J&K and 3.25 lakh persons were involved in the dialogue,” Vibodh said.
“I am immensely gratified by the overwhelming response and enthusiasm displayed by the people during this campaign. It reaffirms the faith people have in the transformative vision of PM Modi and the BJP government,” he said.
He added that the success of these schemes clearly shows the government’s dedication to inclusive development and welfare. The programme was also addressed by BJP senior leader and ex-MLA Shiv Dev Singh and Omi Khajuria BJP district president, Jammu North.
