Srinagar Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr Owais Ahmad, who also is the CEO of Smart City, Srinagar, today conducted inspection of ongoing projects in various areas of Srinagar City, giving directions for their prompt completion.

He visited key locations, including Pratap Park in Lal Chowk, where the construction of Balidan Stambh and development of park is underway. In June last year, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had laid foundation stone of ‘Balidan Stambh’ at Pratap Park.

On his visit today, Dr Ahmad assessed the progress at these sites and issued directives to expedite the work. He asked officials to adhere to project timelines. He also issued stern warnings to agencies falling behind schedule and urged all involved parties to redouble their efforts to meet established deadlines.

Expressing confidence in the commitment of agencies and departments involved in the Smart City Projects, the CEO emphasised on maintaining high standards of execution and timely delivery. Dr Ahmad said administration remains steadfast in realising the vision of a modern, sustainable and vibrant Srinagar city through the successful execution of Smart City projects.
