The SC Collegium has reiterated its recommendation to elevate five advocates as judges in the Allahabad HC and suggested two new names of advocates. In a meeting held on July 14, the Collegium also approved the proposal for elevation of Judicial Officer Rajesh Sekhri as judge in the High Court of J&K and Ladakh. The Collegium resolution was uploaded on the top court’s website on Monday.

The Collegium proposed names of advocates Saurabh Srivastava and Om Prakash Shukla as judges in the Allahabad HC. The advocates whose names have been reiterated for judgeship are Shishir Jain and Manu Khare, among others.
