Jammu, August 2

The Congress on Tuesday said the Central Government should grant statehood to Jammu and Kashmir and conduct Assembly polls immediately.

“The PM should announce statehood on August 15 besides announcing Assembly elections at the earliest," Congress leader GA Mir said at a press conference.
