Jammu, July 14
The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has criticised the UT Administration for its failure to provide reservation to youth residing in the villages along the international border(IB) in the Jammu region.
The party said the government had failed to take necessary action even after lapse of a lot of time to make the eligible youth qualify for the reservation in the current recruitment process, through the issuance of a category certificate.
“The delay reflects the chaos and confusion in the UT Administration and the level of disconnect between the people, especially the youth and the UT Administration, on the one hand and the ruling BJP on the other, who are away from the ground reality and hardships faced by the people,” Ravinder Sharma, JKPCC chief spokesperson said.
Terming it a cruel joke with the youth of the border belt of Jammu, Samba and Kathua, the JKPCC leader termed it “total failure” of the BJP to represent the genuine concerns of the people and the administration was totally away and disconnected with the masses.
He demanded that the UT Administration should immediately take notice of inefficiency of the officers concerned to notify the villages and ensure that the benefits of the reservation are available to the eligible youth in the current recruitment process for different jobs and they should not be deprived of the same in any manner, in the on-going process.
