The district court temporarily restrained the office-bearers of the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) from operating the bank accounts till the next date of hearing.
The second additional district judge, Jammu, on Friday ordered in a case filed by YV Sharma and Prithvi Raj Gupta Vs Chamber of Commerce and Industries for not holding elections even after lapse of one year after the term was over.
The last elections for the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry office-bearers were held on March 5, 2017, which were due in March 2019. But the office-bearers of the JCCI were holding their positions even after their tenure got lapsed in March last year.
The next hearing of the case has been put up on March 2.
