Out of total 6,966 positive cases, at least 4,225 patients have recovered and discharged from hospitals. The recovery rate in the current month of June has increased by 127 per cent, although the number of positive cases has spiralled to nearly 7,000 cases from 2,601 cases on June 1.

The sudden rise in positive cases was due to the return of stranded people to the UT from different parts of the country, with 4,754 of the total positive cases being the returnees.

In Bandipora district of Kashmir valley, the recovery rate has climbed up to 87 per cent, while it is 80 per cent in Jammu and Poonch districts of the Jammu region.
