Director General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), GP Singh, on Thursday interacted with the troops in far-off terror-affected areas of Jammu region.
The two-day visit comes a day after Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a security review meeting in New Delhi.
“On his two-day visit to Jammu, CRPF DG visited the Quick Action Team location at Kalakote in Rajouri. He inspected facilities, reviewed anti-terror strategies and engaged with officers and jawans. The DG commended the energy of the QAT jawans, a testament to their unshakable morale and unyielding fighting spirit. Their chief’s words of appreciation further ignited their commitment to crushing terror,” the CRPF spokesperson said.
The DG also visited the G/237 Battalion at Kopratop in the district. He toured the camp, engaged with personnel, heard their operational experiences and urged them to uphold firm dedication to duty while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
During his visit to Jammu, Singh also called on Lt Governor Manoj Sinha. He briefed him on counter-terrorism strategies and enhanced security measures to ensure lasting peace in the region and sought his guidance on way-ahead in the mission to keep the nation safe.
