CRPF man shoots self in Ganderbal, reason unknown

Srinagar: A CRPF man shot himself with his service rifle in Ganderbal district on Friday. The deceased had been posted in the Gund area of Ganderbal. “He was taken to a hospital in Kangan where doctors referred him to the Srinagar SKIMS. He succumbed to injuries,” an official said. IANS

Summer vacation in Valley schools from Monday

Srinagar: The J&K administration on Friday announced summer vacation in schools in the Valley from July 4. In a circular, BK Singh, Principal Secretary, School Education, said schools falling in the winter zone of the Jammu region would also remain shut. The vacation would end on July 14. PTI
