Cyber cell inaugurated in Samba

A cyber cell established at district police headquarters in Samba was on Monday inaugurated to effectively deal with increasing cyber crime cases. The cyber cell was opened in the presence of Samba’s Additional SSP Surinder Choudhary, all SDPOs, all SHOs and other police officers and officials.

“Cyber cell shall deal with cybercrimes like online frauds, social media frauds and all other types of cyber frauds. The cyber cell shall also deal with online cyber complaints received through National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCCRP),” an official informed. The cyber team shall also train subordinate staff and investigating officers of police stations in Samba.
