Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is likely to arrive for a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. He will review the security situation. Army Chief General Manoj Pande and other top Army officials will accompany him.

“Singh will review the overall security scenario in J&K with the top military brass. The counter-insurgency and counter-infiltration operations will be discussed,” sources said. The Defence Minister will fly to Jammu on June 17 before moving back to New Delhi.
