Delhi docs hold camp for BSF men, families

Jammu, January 24

A medical camp was organised at the Border Security Force (BSF) Paloura Camp area in Jammu on Friday.

BSF Commandant (Medical) AK Sahi organised the camp, which was inaugurated by Border Women Welfare Association president Rajni Jamwal.

She applauded the team of doctors from Manipal Hospital, New Delhi, for offering their valuable services to the BSF personnel and their families. She said overeating, lack of exercise, unhealthy diet and high blood pressure, raised cholesterol and glucose level were the factors, which could trigger heart diseases, thus threatening our lives. Jamwal emphasised that heart problem could be prevented by taking due precautions and changing lifestyle.

Orthopaedician Dr Rajeev Verma, gastroenterologist Dr Manoj Gupta and cardiologist Dr Sanjay Kumar examined the patients during the camp. In all, 250 BSF personnel and their family members were present at medical camp and they were treated for different health issues.
