Jammu, February 19
Calling the Delimitation Commission’s draft report as an imitation of the Dixon Plan aimed to divide people on communal lines, J&K Apni Party president Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari has said the report disappointed all sections of society in both the regions of the UT.
At a press conference in Jammu, he said the five MPs of J&K should resign for “failing to represent the sentiments and aspirants of the people.”
“Merging Anantnag constituency with Rajouri and Poonch is an example of gross injustice with the people,” he said. Condemning the merger of Suchetgarh constituency with RS Pura, he said security was compromised and the ambition of a political party was preferred.
