It was also highlighted that some prominent government assets may be named after late Subedar Chuni Lal, a recipient of the Vir Chakra, Sena Medal, and Ashoka Chakra. Other issues discussed included rallies by Army authorities, renovation and construction projects, renewal of weapon licenses for ex-servicemen, permission for cricket coaching, and concerns regarding ECHS clinic facilities.

In response to the ex-servicemen’s concerns, the DC assured that all issues and grievances would be addressed promptly. He specifically addressed the need for medical specialists at the ECHS clinic. Additionally, he emphasised on the district administration’s unwavering support for Army personnel and their causes, expressing solidarity and respect. The DC also called for collaboration in the “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” and suggested organising fitness camps to prepare future defence service candidates.

“The meeting underscored the commitment of the district administration to the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families. The collaborative efforts between the administration and ex-servicemen aim to create a supportive environment and uphold the honour of those who have dedicated their lives to the defence of the nation,” an official said.
