Don’t venture out at night, Rajouri administration tells residents
Jammu, July 29
Amid rising terror incident across Jammu region, the Rajouri district administration has asked the residents not to venture out in forest areas in dark.
A circular by the district administration states: “It has been brought into the notice by the Army authorities that some civilians visit/roam in the forest areas/fields during night hours wearing shawls/ blankets.”
It further stated that as various security agencies often launch search operations in the forest areas during odd hours in order to combat any anti-national activities by miscreants.
“The general public is hereby informed that no person shall visit in the forest areas during night hours from 9 pm to 4 am wearing shawls/blankets etc. without seeking prior permission from concerned army/police authorities in order to avoid any untoward incident,” it said.
A similar order was taken out by Poonch administration earlier this month.
