Doon school students bag medals

Students of Doon International School, Jammu, have brought laurels to the school by winning five medals, including one gold and four bronze, in the recently held first J&K UT Karate Championship 2019 organised by the Amateur Karate Association of J&K. A total of 12 students of the school participated in the championship. Chairman of the school, G NTantray and principal, Dr Vikesh Kaur have appreciated the efforts of winners and their coach Sahil Sambyal.

‘Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat’ Day

The Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat (EBSB) Club of the Rashtriya Uchchtar Shiksha Sansthan (RUSA) committee of Government Degree College (GDC), Jindrah, celebrated EBSB Day under the guidance of Prof Kalpna Kesar, principal of the college. Proceedings of the programme were initiated by Prof Paramjeet Singh, nodal officer, EBSB Club, who gave a detailed account on dynamics of political history of Tamil Nadu. The principal of the college stressed on the need of promoting practical aspects of Dogri folk forms like Jagrana, suhag, Godian etc.

prof Surender attends conference

Dr Surender Singh, Assistant Professor, School of Mathematics, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) has attended 29th MTMI International conference on “Emerging issues in business, technology and applied sciences” at the Amity Institute of Higher Education, Mauritius. held from December 20 to 22. Dr Singh presented the research paper titled “Some novel correlation coefficients with applications” and chaired a session on “Soft computing applications” during the conference.

belt-grading award ceremony

A seminar and a belt-grading award ceremony was jointly organised by the Yongmudo Association J&K and Tenshinkan karate Do Association. Dr Saleem-Ul-Rehman, Director General, Directorate of Youth Services and Sports, was the chief guest. Yongmudo Association J&K, under the aegis of the Indian Yongmudo Federation also organised a seminar, wherein around 150 promising players across J&K participated in it.
