Ghulam Nabi Wani will be in the fray from Rajpora, Mir Altaf Hussain from Anantnag, Qaiser Sultan Ganai from Ganderbal, Ghulab Nabi Bhat from Eidgah, Amir Ahmed Bhat from Khanyar, Nisar Ahmed Lone from Gurez and Peer Bilal Ahmad from Hazratbal.

The party led by former chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad had significantly reduced its activities after a dismal performance in the Lok Sabha poll.

Since its formation in 2022, the party has been termed as a ‘proxy’ of BJP. However, Azad’s party holds influence in areas of Doda and Kishtwar region that will go to polls in the first phase on September 18.
