Organised by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) in collaboration with the office of the Development Commissioner (MSME), the event aimed to strengthen IP awareness and business strategies in the region. Choudhary highlighted the global impact of strong IPR frameworks, citing brands like Apple, KFC and McDonald’s, while applauding local entrepreneurs — including lavender farmers and Basmati rice producers — for securing brand registrations. He emphasised the industrial sector’s role in job creation and economic growth, assuring policies that prioritise local hiring and support for homegrown businesses.

MLA Khansahib, Saifuddin Bhat, stressed the need to encourage local entrepreneurship to inspire youth-led ventures. Commissioner Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Vikramjit Singh, outlined government initiatives to boost industrial expansion, urging businesses to leverage innovation and IP protection for long-term gains.
