The Jammu police, with help of their Delhi counterparts, have arrested five persons for the murder of their rival gang leader. The police in a joint operation arrested them for the daylight murder of Sumit Jandyal, a resident of Vijaypur, on January 21 when he was in his SUV at Jewel Chowk in the jurisdiction of Nowabad police station. Jandyal was the kingpin of Gataro gang.

While no official statement was issued by the police, sources informed that the main accused and four of his associates have been arrested. They have been identified as Harsh, Arun, Ajay, Abhay and Raj. Information was received that the accused, who are members of the rival Khouf gang, were hiding in Delhi and were planning to flee to Nepal. So, a joint operation was carried out and the accused were arrested from near ISBT Kashmere Gate.
