Ahead of the Republic Day celebrations, full-dress rehearsals were conducted across all the districts of Kashmir, giving a glimpse of the grand spectacle to unfold on Friday.

At Srinagar, a full dress rehearsal function was conducted at Bakshi Stadium where Divisional Commissioner Vijay Kumar Bidhuri unfurled the National Flag, took the salute from the contingents.

Addressing the occasion, he highlighted developmental and administrative achievements of the region, pedaling J&K on the path of peace, progress and prosperity.

Different contingents of BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, JKAP, IRP, Women Contingent, SDRF, Fire and Emergency, Forest Protection Force, NCC contingents, Pipe band, Brass band and Students from different Schools participated in march past parade.

At Ganderbal, a full dress rehearsal in connection with the forthcoming 76th Republic-day was held in Qamaria Stadium here. In South Kashmir’s Anantnag, the full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day celebrations was conducted today at Shaheed Himayun Muzzamil Memorial Government Degree College, Anantnag, where Additional District Development Commissioner , Abdul Aziz Sheikh took the salute at the march past.

At Bandipora, Pulwamam Kulgam, Baramulla, the full dress rehearsal for Republic Day 2025 celebration was held.

The full-dress rehearsal were also held in South Kashmir’s Shopian; at Kupwara in north Kashmir;

A spokesperson said these rehearsals serve as a precursor to the Republic Day parade scheduled for January 26.

At the full-dress rehearsal at Biamathang Stadium, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kargil, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Wani, unfurled the Tricolour, inspected the parade and took the salute during the march-past. The event featured male and female contingents of the police, students from various schools and the Ladakh Police band.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) and CEO of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Shree Ram R and other district officers were present at the event.

The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed various arrangements for the function, including security, seating, parking, sanitation and the PA system, among other necessities. Students from different schools in Kargil and local cultural groups presented captivating performances that showcased their patriotic spirit.

The DC instructed officials to ensure the main Republic Day event is conducted with similar precision and coordination.

In Zanskar, a full-dress rehearsal was held at the Sports Stadium in Padum. Naib Tehsildar, Zanskar, Sajjad Hussain, unfurled the National Flag and took the salute.
