Srinagar, February 3
Democratic Progressive Azad Party’s (DPAP) chairman and former Union minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today said it was necessary that efforts be made to maintain and strengthen the religious harmony as it is an essential element in the unity and progress. Hailing the cultural diversity in the country, he said coexistence of various faiths had been a testament to the pluralistic fabric that defined the society.
While addressing the annual day gathering at an institute in Jammu, Azad talked about the pivotal role girls play in shaping the future. The party stated that he referred to them as the cornerstone of our nation’s progress. “Azad also stressed the need to integrate the social education into the curriculum, nurturing individuals not only academically but also socially aware and responsible,” the party stated.
