Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Thursday said PM Narendra Modi had pulled Kashmir out of a long nightmare of gloom. During PM’s rally at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar, Jitendra Singh, in an introductory address, said Modi had changed their destiny and given them the dream of a bright new future.

“The hands that wielded the gun till yesterday are today found holding iPads and computers. “The fingers that were laced with blood till yesterday are today seen weaving the Pashmina threads and impressing the world with their traditional handicraft,” he said.

Jitendra, who represents Udhampur constituency in the Lok Sabha, said such a massive crowd has been waiting since morning to catch a glimpse of the PM. “This is Modi ka Parivar because the people here know that none other than Narendra Modi can understand the pain in their hearts. All these people have come together to join the caravan of Viksit Bharat, Viksit J&K under the leadership of the PM,” the minister said.

Earlier in the day, wearing Modi masks and chanting his name, scores of people from across J&K reached Bakshi Stadium here to attend PM Narendra Modi’s rally. Officials said tight security arrangements were in place but there were no restrictions on the movement of people.
