Heavy rain warning in J&K for July 19-21

Srinagar, July 17

The meteorological department on Saturday issued a weather warning for the UT, forecasting heavy to very heavy rain from July 19 to 21.

“Lower and middle-level tropospheric winds from the north Arabian Sea are most likely to interact with easterly winds (from the Bay of Bengal) from July 18 to 21. The system is most likely to cause widespread heavy to very heavy rain, thunder with lightning at most places of Jammu, mainly the Pir Panjal Range and plains of the Jammu division, from July 19 to 21,” it said — IANS
