Jammu industries body gives Rs 10 lakh for relief fund

The Jammu and Kashmir Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Limited (SICOP) contributed Rs 10 lakh to J&K Relief Fund on Monday to strengthen the ongoing efforts to contain coronavirus.

In this regard, Atul Sharma, Managing Director, SICOP, presented a cheque of Rs 10 lakh to Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Commissioner Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, as a contribution to the J&K Relief Fund. The amount collected shall be deposited in the account as a voluntary contribution from the corporation staff.

Managing Director, SICOP, said the corporation had also supplied 150 liters of sanitiser to various departments and 3,000 beds to various hospitals. The SICOP was extending all cooperation and hassle-free service to industrial units who were manufacturing essentials, Sharma added. — TNS
