J-K L-G forms 3-member committee to inquire into recent landslide on Vaishno Devi route

The L-G, who is also the chairman of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, ordered the constitution of the committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary, Jal Shakti Department, Shaleen Kabra, to inquire into the reasons behind the incident.
Besides Kabra, the committee will have Divisional Commissioner of Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, and Inspector General of Police, BS Tuti, as members.
The committee will examine in detail the causes and reasons behind the incident and point out any lapses, and suggest appropriate Standard Operating Procedures and measures for preventing recurrence of such incidents.
The committee has been asked to submit its report to the L-G within two weeks.
