The Jammu police have arrested two drug peddlers and seized seven grams of heroin under the ongoing operation ‘Sanjeevani’. The arrests were made by a police team from Bishnah, which had set up a temporary check-point during routine patrolling.
While frisking the suspects, the police recovered heroin from two individuals, identified as Showkat Ali and Khadim Hussain, both residents of Sikandar Pur in Bishnah. Following the recovery, the duo was arrested on the spot.
A police spokesperson confirmed, “The accused were immediately taken into custody, and a case was registered under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act at the Bishnah police station.”
