The evaluation of answer scripts of Class X and XII is being done speedily by examiners at their homes to ensure timely declaration of results by the J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE).

Joint secretary (Secrecy), JKBOSE, Sudhir Singh said “Despite limited staff strength, I am hopeful of the declaration of the results as early as possible. By April 25, we received most of the evaluated answer scripts. The evaluation is being done in a phased manner to ensure no mistakes.”

Asked about the marking criteria of giving marks to the candidates whose exam in some subjects was not conducted due to lockdown, the official said: “Our target is the evaluation of the unevaluated answer scripts. The decision to conduct the exam of the remaining subjects of Class XII is to be taken by the higher authorities.”
