The official website www.jkcareerportal.org has complete information on over 550 careers, over 20000 colleges and over 2.5 lakh programmes in 16 countries across the globe. Further, information on over 1150 entrance exams and over 1100 scholarships is also available on the website.

Sources said that after the launch of the counseling helpline by the school education directorate, many of the students demanded for a specialised portal with comprehensive information about careers, colleges, exams, vocational courses and scholarships.

“In the ongoing lockdown when all educational institutes have been closed, this initiative of the government will definitely help students to prepare their future plans to select career of their choice,” an official said.

‘In case, the students don’t know their registration number or are unable to login, they can contact their respective school/District Nodal Officer/School Nodal Officer/Nodal officer at JKBOSE or the counselling cell. If the students still face any difficulty then they can call our counseling helpline Aao Baat Karein at 6006800068,” the official added.
