BJP’s UT president Ravinder Raina said he would meet senior party leaders on Tuesday to chalk out a counter-strategy against the Gupkar Alliance ahead of the PM’s meeting. He said party leaders would discuss the issues with focus on the strategy to be taken to counter the Gupkar Alliance which is demanding restoration of the pre-August 5, 2019 position.

National Conference (NC) provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani said it was good that the Centre had realised that things would not work in the Union Territory without mainstream regional players. Wani said, “The change from demonising the mainstream parties to inviting them for talks is good.” — PTI
