JKRERA officials inspect colonies in Udhampur, Katra

The Jammu and Kashmir Real Estate Regulatory Authority (JKRERA) officials conducted a comprehensive inspection of unauthorised plotted colonies in Udhampur and Reasi districts and sought a detailed factual report along with the revenue record from the concerned tehsildars.

During the inspection, the officials from JKRERA and Revenue Department visited illegal colonies at Rakh Kotli, Udhampur By-pass Road, Rathian, Khrooni and Fangyal Road in Udhampur district.

Similarly, in Reasi district, illegal colonies, namely Trikuta Enclave and Project Devika, Katra, were also inspected by the team.

The Authority has also issued notices to two real estate promoters of Udhampur namely, Shivani Sharma and Aryan Sharma, both residents of Karlai Khalki, Udhampur, directing them to register their projects with JKRERA within 15 days.

The inspection was aimed to verify whether the promoters/developers of the plotted colonies had registered their projects with JKRERA, as mandated by Section 3 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act.

The team also checked for any unauthorised constructions or deviations from approved plans and directed the developers to register their projects with RERA.

“We urge developers and promoters to adhere to the regulatory framework and obtain necessary approvals before commencing projects. JKRERA is committed to ensure planned development and protect the interests of homebuyers,” the official spokesperson said.
