Jammu, April 2
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) today approved the selection list of 550 junior staff nurses for the five newly established Government Medical Colleges to tackle the Covid pandemic.
The selection list was prepared on a fast-track basis in view of the extraordinary circumstances prevailing due to the spread of coronavirus, on the request of the Health and Medical Education Department.
In this regard, a meeting of the board was convened by Chairman, JKSSB, Khalid Jahangir here today. The meeting was attended by members of the board — M Shafiq Chak, Angrez Singh Rana, Pritam Lal Atri, Harvinder Kour and Controller Examination, JKSSB, Musheer Ahmad Mirza, Secretary, JKSSB, Ranjeet Singh and others concerned.
The selection list for 550 posts of junior staff nurses belonging to different categories, as prescribed under relevant rules, was approved during the meeting and recommended to the Health & Medical Education Department.
These 550 posts were advertised by the board in 2019 and a waiting list as required under rules has also been prepared and forwarded to the indenting department.
