JMC Commissioner listens to public grievances
Jammu Municipal Corporation Commissioner Devansh Yadav conducted inspection of the Nanak Nagar area today after receiving complaints regarding waterlogging due to a blocked nallah.
During his visit, Yadav assessed the situation and interacted with local residents, who were facing inconvenience due to the improper drainage of water. He assured them that immediate steps would be taken to clear the blockage and restore smooth water flow. He also emphasised that necessary preventive measures would be implemented well before the onset of the monsoon season to avoid similar issues in the future.
The Commissioner also visited Raghunath Bazaar to assess ongoing development activities. During his visit, he also reviewed the works undertaken by Jammu Smart City Limited to enhance urban infrastructure and public amenities in the area.
Members of the Raghunath Bazaar Market Association took this opportunity to submit a representation to the Commissioner, highlighting the key concerns and demands of the market community. The representation emphasised the need for repairing of interior lanes, improvement of street lighting and enhanced sanitation facilities to further boost the market’s appeal and functionality.
He assured the association members that their concerns would be taken into consideration, and necessary steps would be taken to address the highlighted issues.
