In response to public demand, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Commissioner Devansh Yadav on Saturday visited the slaughterhouse at Dogra Hall to assess the feasibility of shifting its gate. The visit aimed to address concerns raised by local residents and explore potential solutions for improved accessibility and urban planning.
During the visit, Yadav conducted a thorough review of the site and engaged with stakeholders to ensure that any modifications align with civic needs and regulatory guidelines. The Commissioner assured residents that their concerns would be taken into consideration while implementing necessary changes.
Yadav also reviewed the development of a vendor zone at Indira Chowk, a key initiative by the Municipal Corporation to provide organised space for street vendors. “This project aims to enhance urban management, streamline traffic flow and promote local businesses in a structured manner,” an official said.
