Adhering to the guidelines of Ministry of Human Resource Development, University of Jammu on Friday expanded its presence on the digital platform, by launching its Twitter handle @universityjammu for broadcasting information and news related to the activities of the institution. The handle was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor Prof Manoj Dhar who expressed hope that various stakeholders including students, teachers, alumni and members of the civil society will benefit greatly.
Annual day at Rich Harvest School
Rich Harvest School celebrated its 10th annual day. Amidst the chanting of vedic mantras, the programme commenced with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest Gulchain Singh Charak, chairman of the Dogra Educational Trust.
Leadership summit opens at IIM
The leadership summit was inaugurated at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Jammu. It was inaugurated by Anand Kripalu, MD, CEO and member, Diageo Global Executive Committee in the presence of Dr BS Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, Dr. Burhan Muqbil, chaired the leadership summit. The idea of the summit is to bring together visionaries from industry and government to offer valuable ideas to support the economic growth of the country through industrial transformation.
Book on zoology released
Principal of GDC, Rajouri, Dr. Shakeel Raina released a zoology book titled “Comparative anatomy of vertebrates” for undergraduates authored by Dr Shavish Vaid, lecturer, department of zoology, in the presence of senior faculty members from various departments of the college. Dr Raina impressed upon the faculty to contribute more in the field of education by way of writing standard books and playing a vital role in publishing papers based on research, innovations and experience.
NCC cadets lauded for achievements
NCC Officer (ANO) Third officer Meenakshi from APS Udhampur along with three girl NCC cadets were selected for Republic Day camp at New Delhi. Cadet Ujawal Sharma was selected for the Best Cadet from Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh directorate out of 17 directorates. Three cadets were also selected for cultural event and secured second position at the national level. Principal Sanjeev Kumar congratulated all for this achievement.
