L-G office reaches out to 3 Maha students

The Lieutenant Governor’s office has reached out to Pune-based students, Nachiket Guttekar, Shamim Kulkarni and Ninad Dattar, who were on a research project and are stuck in Bhaderwah since March 25 due to the lockdown.

A representative of Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu contacted the students and enquired about their well-being.

The Lt Governor’s office also thanked Nazim Malik, a school teacher, for taking care of the students from Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, the Lt Governor has extended Ramzan greetings to the people and hoped that the auspicious period would be a harbinger of peace, amity, brotherhood, progress and prosperity in J&K.

In a message, Murmu said Ramzan was a period dedicated to fasting, service and prayers and it underscored the values of austerity, patience, tolerance and self-restraint, which were imperative for practicing social distancing and mitigating the spread of the coronavirus.
