The Ladakh unit of BJP celebrated ‘UT Declaration Day’ at its office in Leh on Monday. After being carved out of erstwhile state of Jammu and kashmir, Ladakh became a separate Union Territory on August 5, 2019.

BJP’s Ladakh unit vice president Lden Samstan, general secretary PT Kunzang, Kisan Morcha president Tsering Motup, BJYM Yuva Mrocha president Thinless Norboo among others were present during the celebrations.

Speaking on the occasion, PT Kunzang stated that the struggle to get the Union Territory status has a long history “and it was only the BJP government which granted UT status for Ladakh”.
