As part of its tourism promotional campaign, the Ladakh Tourism Department participated in the 3-day outbound travel mart (OTM), which was held at the Jio Convention Center, Bandra Kurla Complex, till Saturday.

Over 30 travel trade association members, hoteliers, and tourism officials from the twin districts of Leh and Kargil participated in the event to showcase Ladakh as a different and challenging tourist destination.

Deputy Minister of Marketing, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Indonesia, Ni Made Ayu Marthini and many other dignitaries visited the Ladakh Pavilion.

Ladakh’s Tourism Department has facilitated the participation of co-exhibitors from the UT to showcase Ladakh’s unique position as a different tourist destination, which catches the imagination of varied travellers, explorers, adventure lovers, nature lovers and above all Ladakh’s rich cultural and heritage assets. The OTM provided a vibrant and global platform to conduct B2B and B2C meetings and to establish business networks with the travel and trade fraternity and visitors from India and abroad.

The Commissioner/Secretary, Tourism Department, Ladakh, Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan and Director, Tourism Department, Kunzes Angmo; other members of the official delegation and co-exhibitors interacted with the representative of the tourism boards from different states and UTs, media and leading stakeholders from across the globe.

The Ladakh Pavilion on the first and the second day received an overwhelming response from visitors who enquired about different tourism products and showed keen interest in visiting Ladakh shortly.

The Tourism Department also disseminated information about various destinations within Ladakh, its rich culture, landscape, cuisine and other aspects. Promotional films on various themes were also screened at the pavilion.

Ladakh being a new and upcoming major tourist destination has attracted the imagination and interest of travellers from within the country as well from abroad.
