Ladakh Autonomus Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh, chairman Tashi Gyalson chaired a meeting to streamline tourism operations and ensure effective regulation in the district. Leh Deputy Commissioner Santosh Sukhadeve was present during the meeting.

The meeting focused on simplifying the single registration system for adventure tour operators, mountaineering tour operators and travel agents, while strengthening monitoring mechanisms to curb illegal operations.

Discussions were held on facilitating tourism-related services without compromising regulatory oversight. Key points included allowing foreign tourists to visit nearby non-protected areas based on the ecology fee receipt. Gyalson assured that he would take up the matter of issuing multiple tokens for the portal.
