The Motor Vehicle Department of Doda, in collaboration with the Health Department, organised a medical and eye check-up camp for drivers in Pul Doda on Wednesday. The camp was held under the direction of Transport Commissioner Vishesh Paul Mahajan and Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, with the supervision of Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Rajesh Gupta.
The camp was inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sudarshan Kumar, who was joined by ARTO Rajesh Gupta, doctors from the Medical and Ayush Departments and officials from the Motor Vehicle and Health Departments.
A large number of drivers took advantage of the free medical and eye examinations, along with essential health screenings. The initiative underscored the importance of regular health check-ups for drivers, emphasising that good vision and overall well-being are critical for ensuring road safety.
A team of medical professionals conducted thorough eye tests, providing immediate feedback and guidance on necessary corrective measures. Drivers were also educated about the significance of maintaining clear vision while driving, as impaired eyesight can lead to accidents and compromise public safety.
In addition to eye check-ups, participants were provided with free medicines and valuable tips on general health and preventive care.
