In the Krishan Ghatia sector of Poonch district, the Army opened fire after two landmines exploded accidentally along the Line of Control (LoC). The explosions raised suspicion of an infiltration attempt, prompting security forces to fire a few rounds. While official confirmation was awaited, sources indicated that firing was exchanged briefly from both sides following the incident.

No casualties or injuries were reported in the firing. The Army has not confirmed whether any cross-border exchange took place. However, the situation remains tense along both the LoC and the International Border following a recent surge in terror-related incidents in Jammu region. Security forces have heightened vigilance in response to the growing threat.
