He urged Defence Minister to accelerate deployment of the modern surveillance systems, anti-drone technology and improved road connectivity in the forward areas to further strengthen border management. Khatana also advocated for the construction of additional community bunkers, improved civilian infrastructure and comprehensive support for the displaced and border families affected by the cross-border firing.

Reiterating the importance of balanced regional development, Khatana called for the sustained implementation of the Border Area Development Programme (BADP) — focusing on education, healthcare, digital inclusion and employment opportunities for the youth in border villages. He also suggested expanding recruitment drives for the local youth in defence and paramilitary forces for channelling their energy towards national service and capacity building.
