The J&K Government is all set to reopen the Mughal road linking Jammu’s hilly areas of Rajouri and Poonch to the Kashmir valley very soon, said informed sources.

The Mughal road was closed for traffic after some people from the Valley tested positive in April. At that time, positive cases in Kashmir were on the rise and it was feared that the traffic on the route would increase the risk of more infections. The sources said after mounting demand from traders and Apni Party of Altaf Bukhari, the government has decided to open it. — TNS
