Mughal Road stretch handed over to BRO for maintenance
In a step towards enhancing road connectivity, the Mughal Road stretch from Bufliaz to Pir Ki Gali has been officially handed over to the Border Roads Organization (BRO) by the Public Works Department (PWD).
The transition was smoothly facilitated through the efforts of Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal, and all necessary formalities were completed to ensure the successful handover.
The DC confirmed the handover and underscored the importance of maintaining this crucial road stretch. He urged the BRO to provide enhanced infrastructure support during the winter months, ensuring improved accessibility for both civilian traffic and security forces operating in the region.
“The BRO has a dedicated workforce, resources and expertise, making it the most competent organisation to operate in challenging weather conditions and harsh terrain,” Kundal stated.
This collaborative effort is aimed at ensuring that the Mughal Road remains safe and accessible throughout the winter season while enhancing strategic mobility.
