The University of Jammu was on Monday ranked 50th among the best universities of India. The latest National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) was released by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

“This marks a significant improvement for the University by moving 13 ranks ahead and touching the 50 mark from the previous rank of 63,” an official spokesperson said.

“Touching 50th rank for the first time reflects the hard work and dedication of the entire university fraternity,” said Prof Umesh Rai, vice-chancellor, University of Jammu. — OC
