It has been about for four months till now since the suspension of the mobile Internet services in J&K, but the lakhs of subscribers are being forced to pay for services, which were snapped by the service providers.

“We have been deprived of mobile Internet services in J&K since August 5, but still we have to pay for Internet services. I have a post-paid plan of Rs 750 per month, but I am getting the services of worth Rs 100 only,” said Deepak Sharma, a resident of Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.

The pre-paid customers are also feeling cheated as their recharge pack have been wasted till date.

When contacted, all the operators refused to comment on the issue saying that they were already facing loss due to Internet suspension in J&K. However, they were convinced that if the customers have not used the services, they should not be charged for it. — TNS
