The second Joint Working Committee meeting of Jammu district was held today in the office chambers of the Additional District Development Commissioner, Sher Singh. The meeting was attended by Deputy Registrar (Cooperatives) Tasbina Sheikh and officers from allied departments.

The Deputy Registrar briefed the meeting on the agenda points as per the Margdarshika guidelines and reported on the progress achieved since the first committee meeting. Detailed discussions were held on each action plan with a strong emphasis on ensuring 100 per cent coverage of panchayats under the Primary Agricultural Credit Societies. Allied departments assured their support to strengthen existing societies and facilitate the registration of new cooperative societies, dairy and fisheries cooperatives.
