Omar raises concern over ragging case with Karnataka CM

CM Omar Abdullah said on Wednesday that he had raised the issue of the ragging incident of a Kashmiri student in a Karnataka college with CM Siddaramaiah. “He has assured me that the police have filed an FIR and necessary action will be taken. The four accused of perpetrating this ragging/thrashing have been identified,” Omar wrote on X.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
